"We stayed for 3 nights at the Pumphouse! It was a perfect relaxing and picturesque getaway! Surrounded by nature on all sides and phenomenal views, even in the wet February weather! The walks around Upper Hulme range from easy to hard, and there’s a bit of everything! The hut itself is spacious, and the log fire is the star of the show! Scrabble, record player (7’), puzzles, and cards were all perfect ways to get off screens and take some time to relax! The bed was so comfy, and they had included hot water bottles, which was such a lovely touch! The local pub up the road was friendly and reasonably priced, although it was also easy to make food in the kitchen at the Pumphouse! The bathroom was good, the shower was hot, and it was all clean! The garden is a highlight—so beautiful with wonderful solar-powered lights all around! Even in the cold weather, I sat out drinking my coffee as it was such a treat! Would 100% recommend! It takes you right out of the stress and busyness of everyday life and into nature!"
